Would you rather buy a pet dog or adopt one? This is fast becoming a topic of community discourse and action with over 100 people showing up in front of the I Heart Puppies shop, a dog shop, primarily, in protest of sale of pet dogs.
Carole Davis, was the one leading the protests, she is the Companion Animal Protection Society West Coast director. The reason of the agitation was sale of puppies at the store, the protest urging the people from the community to "go humane" and in place of pet purchase rather adopt a pet from local animal shelters.
Court records reveal that an anti-SLAPP (strategic lawsuit against public participation) plea has been moved on behalf of pro-pet adoption Carole Davis, against the owner of the dog shop in Corona del Mar.
