Choosing a pet-proof Empire Carpet can be quite a challenge, and many pet owners assume that hardwood flooring is a better option to prevent pet-related damage. However, today there are more ways than ever to pet proof your carpet and keep it attractive for years regardless of what your pets may do. When choosing a pet proof carpet you should consider designs which hide stains and pet hair well.

For example, dark colors and solid colors tend to show pet stains and hair more easily so they should be avoided. The best choice for pet owners who are concerned about shedding is a neutral, speckled carpet design which easily hides shedding. Another recommendation is to choose a carpet that is made especially for pet owners, and you can easily consult with Empire Today installers to find out what's best for you.

In general, pet proof carpets are more durable and stain proof than other types of carpet. When you are shopping for a pet proof carpet you should look for varieties which are stain resistant. However, even carpets which are stain resistant can stain if you don't clean up spills and spots right away. It's also very important to closely follow the cleaning and care instructions on the carpet labeling to get the most out of these carpets. You should also be sure that the carpeting you choose does not snag easily because pets tend to snag carpeting with their nails. Berber carpeting, for example, is not the most pet resistant choice because it snags more easily than other types of carpeting. Once it snags, this type of carpeting tends to unravel further causing more extensive damage.

Warm Heart pet store, located at 89 S. Palm Canyon Drive, is expanding its floor area by 200 sq ft. to offer a wider range of variety to consumers. The owner of the pet store, Robert Brugeman, has also extended the visitors hours from morning 10:00 AM to late evening 9:00 PM. Brugeman's pet store is an exclusive outlet in the Downtown valley for various items such as Ruffwear vests and booties, Sojos Treats and Snacks, and Thundershirts. Lately Warm Heart also started a new pet store at 73-399 El Paseo in Palm Desert to cater to the pet requirements in the mid-valley region. The expansion will be a huge step against its big-store competitors such as Pet Co. and Pet Smart.

The kids have been wanting guinea pigs…I've been trying to hold out to see if they'd change their minds! They haven't…and now the holidays are coming up. So after talking it over, my husband and I have decided to go ahead and get them each a guinea pig. We decided to have a cage upstairs and a cage downstairs, as we know they'll want to have them with them as much as possible. We've already gotten the guinea pig cages and I've already gone through a couple of hiding places to store them until it's time to wrap them up! We had a couple of close calls, as the kids seem to have an uncanny sense of infiltration whenever we try to keep anything from them! In any case, I'm also glad we'll have a place to put the guinea pigs on each level of the house, and outdoors…it will be easier to keep things from going haywire…unless I'm just kidding myself!
